Public data,
put somewhere useful.
The FAA, the VA and the AOPA all publish things a school or a student pilot needs, and all of them publish them somewhere awkward. These are free, they need no account, and each one says on the page exactly which source it came from and when it was last read.
Part 141 & Part 61 flight school finder
Every flight school we can find in public data, on one map. Filter by certification, rating, certificate, service, GI Bill approval or distance from where you are, then go straight to the school's own listing.
More to come
There is one tool here, and it does one job properly. If there is a piece of public aviation data you keep re-typing out of a PDF, that is the next candidate — say which.
We had to build the data anyway.
It is more useful in the open.
Matryn is the operating system for a flight school. Assembling public airport, certification and approval data is groundwork the product needed; publishing it costs us nothing and saves somebody an afternoon.
